3 Day Summer Adventure

Doing a long excursion around the great state of Utah? Or perhaps you want to escape from the valley of Salt Lake and forget that you are just 30 miles from home? Arrival, Day 1 ~ Upon arrival to the Washington School Inn you will be greeted by a helpful Innkeeper eager to make your vacation unforgettable. We will give you a tour of the Inn including the hot tub/sauna area and then show you to your lovely room. Whatever question you have or activity you have in mind, we can give you information on all there is to do in Park City. Each Friday and Saturday night enjoy hors d'oeuvres in the living room or outside on the delightful patio which is an unrivaled relaxing area in the heart of old town. Who knows what other guests you will meet here and perhaps make new friends. What's most important is that you take a deep breath and enjoy this getaway that you've planned

Get your bearings by heading over to Main Street for a delightful stroll. A required stop is the Park City Historical Museum where you'll learn about our silver mining past and the history of skiing in our area. Perhaps you've already choosen a place for your first dinner. Or let your nose guide you to one of the 50 restaurants on Main St.. Once you've finished your delicious meal, take advantage of all that Main Street has to offer: art galleries, upscale boutiques, souvenir shops, live music, nightlife and theatre, there isn't enough time to see it all in one night! Remember, the last Friday of every month is the Main St Gallery Stroll.

Day 2 ~ If your staying in one of the suites, you won't need your alarm clock since you'll probably be able to smell the fresh baked goods, coffee and other delicious smells. Chef Steve certainly will have a beautiful and tasty gourmet breakfast prepared for all of you to enjoy between 8am-10am. And your certainly welcome to take your breakfast on the patio or join other folks in our dining room. Get suggestions from guests and your Innkeeper on which activities would be more fun. Should you take the Town Lift up for a scenic ride and then hike down through beautiful Aspen forests. Or challenge yourself by hiking up and take the chair lift down for free. (Check with us to be sure that Town Lift is running.)

After lunch go back to Historic Main Street to enjoy the souvenir shops, boutique and jewelry stores. Take the complimentary Main Street Historic Trolley back toward the Inn, with 10 blocks of stores you'll have a lot of bags to carry. Don't forget to wrap up the shopping spree in time to for the fresh cookies that we serve every afternoon.

Perhaps you want to catch a movie while out on this 3 Day Park City adventure. With one theater that is just 1 mile away, another theater that is 6 miles and the Park City Film Series that is just 8 blocks away, you are bound to find something. Ask your Innkeeper to suggest a more casual dining options and we'll find the ideal place for you.

Day 3 ~ Wakeup to the aroma of bacon sizzling and fresh Banana Pecan Bread baking in the oven as you decide what to do today.

Perhaps ride Park City Mountain Resort's Alpine Slide or new Alpine Coaster. Or let us point you to a more adventurous outing like horse back riding or hot air ballooning. A new company called Park City Helitours offers amazing flights around our area.

Would another 3-8 mile hike be of interest? There is over 300 miles of well networked trails all starting from right here in town. If you are interested in mt. biking then you must talk to Jean or Read. They will point you in the right direction for your ability and desire. Return to the Inn for a relaxing soak in the hot tub before dinner.

Departure, Day 4 ~ Enjoy your last breakfast with us and savor the delicious creations of Chef Steve. Ask or any recipes that you may have enjoyed while visiting us.
